Bayside Social Golf Club (BSGC)

Our Aim

To provide our vast number of social golfers with the opportunity to play in a monthly organised competition day on quality golf courses. Predominantly these will be on weekends but there may be a weekday game offered as well.

Who Can Play?

Anyone can play in one of our days whether you have an official handicap or not; whether you are a member of a club or not. We will provide various forms of the game to allow everyone to compete for the monthly prizes.

Benefits of Joining

If you are a social golfer without an official handicap, by joining Bayside Social Golf Club (BSGC) you can submit cards and qualify for an Affiliate AGU handicap allowing you to tee up in members competitions Australia wide. We have been accredited by the VGA as a Golf Access provider so your handicap will be administered by us.

Cost

BSGC Full Member - $175.00 inc GST (pro rata fee applies after July)
Membership includes:

1. Affiliate AGU handicap
2. 5 x medium buckets of range balls at Sandringham Driving Range 
3. GOLF LINK card and registration
4. Your handicap administered for a year
5. Personal insurance plan for golfers
6. Rules and etiquette booklets and information
7. 2 x GAA newsletters per year
8. Special member discounts from Sandringham Golf Range and Sandringham Golf Academy

BSGC Junior Member - $135.00 inc GST

BIOLETTI WINS BY A LOT(Y)

A good field of 36 fronted at Kingston Links on Sunday for the April round. The weather was threatening all day with a very strong 25kph northerly making club selection crucial, particularly on into the wind shots. Many thanks to Gerard for his sugggestion to play off the back markers in such "easy" conditions, even more so when we realised it was Pennant golf being played in front of us.

Anyhow, we managed to beat the rain and severe hail storm that thundered down a bit later and the scores weren't too bad considering. Sam Bioletti won the overall and men's division with a fine 42 points. Sam now has an official handicap of 28 which will keep him in line over ensuing games. Steve Hart (38) was second and Jamie Simpson (36) took third in a countback from Tom Kriegshauser (36).

In the ladies section, Carol McInerney won the day with a well compiled 37 points from newbie, Jo Limmer(36) and Ann Hallam (34). It was great to see seven ladies playing and we welcome more if you know of any looking for a friendly, competitive game.

There have been a number of handicap alterations as a result of these scores so make sure you check your handicap prior to your next round.

The next round is at Mornington on Sunday 27 May with an 8am one tee start. and an entry form can be found just above this match report. Thatt will be played as a 4BBB stableford event as part of The Golfer Newspapers national event. The winners of the day will progress to the State final later in the year.
